FF7: New Threat 2.0: Solving the Silver Chocobo Riddle (SECRET FINAL BOSS)

After hours of scouring the internet for clues, messing around with a save editor, and even editing the game's scene.bin file, I finally put all the pieces together to access the mod's secret final boss:

The Calamity.

This boss is tanky as hell. Unfortunately, the fight ended up being a bit of a slog. I was trying to avoid KOTR spam and Peerless abuse. I tried to rely on double casting Pearl as my main source of damage since the boss is weak to Holy, but that ended up taking too long and I resorted to KOTR anyway. You have to be careful using AOE attacks since each tentacle will counter with high damage physical attacks. Mystile is basically useless since they all have incredibly high attack%. Also, Peace Rings are a must since the boss likes to use Manipulate on your party members.

For those curious on how to access this boss, here are the required steps:

The silver chocobo in the Great Glacier will give you four riddles if you feed it Pahsana Greens. The riddles reference specific areas, enemies, and items in the game. In order to "unlock" the riddles, you need to use a specific item on a specific enemy:

1. Mute Mask on Death Claw (Corel Prison)
2. Dazers on Dorky Face (Shinra Mansion) - because Dazers inflicts paralysis, it prevents the script from executing properly but you can counteract this by using a Vaccine or Resist first
3. Black Veil on Gi Spectre (Cave of the Gi) - you need to do this in a specific battle against 3 Gi Spectres that you enter by breaking one of the rocks in the 1st screen of the dungeon
4. Hero Drink II on Wind Wing (Whirlwind Maze) - you enter this battle by getting hit by one of the wind walls

You also need an item called ???? which is dropped by Ozma in the Shinra Mansion

Once you've unlocked all the riddles, you must use the ???? item in the forest with the green light at the bottom of the Northern Crater
