Stoney Littleton Long Barrow | Stunning Winter Solstice Alignment 3800 BC | Megalithomania

Stoney Littleton Long Barrow, near Wellow in Somerset dates back to 3800 BC and is aligned to the winter solstice sunrise. Hugh Newman visits the site in December 2023 to take a look. It has a chamber nearly 50 feet long with various chambers on either side of the main corridor. Its alignment is oriented to the sunrise but the sun has to come up over hills to then beam into the chamber so its orientation is further south than normal.
