My First visit to the rural green city of Ubud in central Bali was a breath of fresh air . A wonderfully located hotel made my stay easy and convenient. The weather was hot and humid but the food , friendly service and green fields and jungles were incredible for me to see as someone who comes from a hot and dry environment. I had good service from a english speaking taxi driver who i just happened upon after trying to hire a motor scooter with no success. Watching monkeys attacking ladies who were carrying shopping bags in the main street was a first for me . All good harmless fun with the monkeys eating chocolate chipped cookies .
