¹ This is known as the tahlīl, and is the most central dhikr (utterance for the remembrance of God) in Islam. It is considered to be an affirmation of absolute monotheism, and therefore the first half of the declaration of faith required to convert to Islam (the kalimah).
² This is either هُوَ الله, meaning "He is Allah", or هُ الله, which is the word "Allah" preceded by its final vowel. The final vowel of "Allah" has meaning in Sufism: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allah_Hoo
³ The second half of the kalimah

----------

This is a Chechen hadra (collective Sufi gathering for the remembrance of God) that took place in 2015 in Starye Atagi, Groznensky District, Chechnya. It is practiced by adherents to a branch of the Qadiri tariqah (Sufi order) founded in Chechnya by Kunta-Khadzhi Kishiev in the 19th century, who they refer to as Haji, and are therefore often known in Chechnya and Russia as Haji-Murids.

Unfortunately I can't make out any of what the munshid (vocalist) is saying. If anyone can make out any more of what's being said free to comment or email it to me and I will upload them to the video with credit to you.

Likewise if you notice any problems with the video, translation or this description please let me know so I can check and fix them as soon as possible.
