My drive for the deed
I truly don’t know
I initially stay
But steadily go
I set out today
My will to be good
I was soon freed
And hungry for food.

The loving I writ
My lunacy sent
I initially stayed
Then steadily went
With passion we prayed
The patterns align
I was desperate for hers
She was desperate for mine.

A rent in the heart
Is space in the head
And life is the stuff
We do ere we’re dead
And love is a blessing
That speaks to the eye
And speaks to the heart
And helps us to die.
