For a long time, I believed the twin flame journey might explain why certain connections in my life felt so intense, spiritual, and impossible to let go of. I was told these relationships were meant to help me grow — that the pain, the waiting, and the emotional labor were all part of a higher purpose.
In this video, I share why I’m re-examining the twin flame concept after seeing the same pattern repeat across multiple relationships. What once felt spiritual and meaningful eventually began to feel confusing, stagnant, and emotionally binding.
1️⃣ The Guitarist (First Introduction to Twin Flames)
About ten years after we broke up, a former guitarist from one of my first bands reappeared, saying he couldn’t stop thinking about me and believed I was his twin flame. As I learned about the concept, we reconnected emotionally—but he was already in another relationship and unwilling to leave it. Despite deep spiritual conversations and emotional sharing, there was no real movement, growth, or choice. I eventually cut contact completely.
2️⃣ The Psychopathic Ex (Mirroring Without Truth)
Shortly after that, I entered a relationship with someone who mirrored me intensely—interests, behaviors, emotions—which created a powerful sense of connection. For a moment, I wondered if this was what a twin flame was supposed to feel like. That illusion shattered when I discovered betrayal, cheating, and deception. The connection felt intense, but it was not authentic or safe.
3️⃣ Jim (The Pattern Repeats)
With my most recent ex, I again felt a strong spiritual connection and was told I was his twin flame. While I opened up deeply, he remained guarded, vague about his past, and emotionally unavailable. Looking back, I see signs of mirroring and emotional hooking without true reciprocity or growth. Each attempt to leave pulled me back into the same cycle.
After seeing this pattern clearly, I’m questioning whether the twin flame concept can be used to keep women emotionally attached to relationships that aren’t healthy or evolving. Instead of growth and mutual effort, I experienced stagnation and confusion.
At this point in my journey, I’m choosing to step away from the twin flame idea and focus on becoming my own source of wholeness. I’m sharing this in case others have felt stuck, disillusioned, or spiritually disconnected by similar experiences—and to invite an honest conversation about what real growth and connection should look like.
I’m choosing myself as my twin flame.
I’m stepping off the merry-go-round.
And I’m finally choosing peace.
🔥 Keep rising, Phoenixes.
