The ultimate I'M STILL STANDING intro

If you want to know how I played the intro to I'm Still Standing by Elton John then this video is for you! From the 1983 Album Too Low for Zero I'm Still Standing is an upbeat song that toggles between Bb minor and Bb Major. It enjoyed a huge resurgence when the hit movie Sing featured Taron Egerton singing as a gorilla :-) In many of Elton's live performances he plays a small intro that is in the same key of the song however would not be recognizable as I'm Still Standing. You'll see in this video the chord names displayed as well and a piano keyboard lighting up as well.

This is not a transcription of an Elton performance, however it is an amalgamation of some of the intros I had heard him do at the time. Make sure to play this hands separately as long as needed to master each one independent of each other. As you start playing hands together take it as slow as needed and don't get frustrated as it is a fairly complicated intro.
