(Fake) Mortal Kombat reboot movie trailer

Based on the venerated fighting video game series, and made in honor of its ninth installment!

I love the Mortal Kombat theme but using it would be too obvious so instead I used The Journey Kontinues by Juno Reactor, a song featured in the original MK film.

This took a lot of digging to put together. If you'll notice I actually managed to find a live action 'x-ray' attack among other things that hopefully fans will recognize and enjoy. Especially the ending (I hope XD)

The original film is a guilty pleasure, one of Paul W.S Anderson's first butchering of a respected franchise but at least cheesy enough to enjoy. Certainly Mortal Kombat has embraced camp since its inception, but that doesn't mean a darker, edgier, sleeker modern film couldn't work with real martial artists and WETA to do the bizarre and deadly props, weaponry, and costumes :)
