A Fun, Soggy First Visit To Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk | Santa Cruz, CA

Join me (Clutch, the guy who braved the rain to film all this) as I thoroughly enjoy my FIRST EVER VISIT to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California despite the rainy day I experienced. Even though I didn't get to ride or experience it all, I found this to be a wonderful Boardwalk amusement park, with a good variety of rides and activities to do.

I originally wanted to come to this seaside amusement park because it had 3 (count 'em, 3!) dark rides (Haunted Castle, Cave Train Adventure and Ghost Blasters), a 100 year-old roller coaster (Giant Dipper) and a Looff Carousel, one of the few remaining where you get to try and grab brass rings and then throw it into a clown's mouth, thus elevating the carousel to one of the best in the country.

Unfortunately, the rain caused all but 5 rides to be open. Fortunately, 3 of those rides were the ones I wanted to go on the most, Giant Dipper, Haunted Castle and the Looff Carousel. So a great day was still had by all, but mostly me. Also fortunately, this meant we got to go through the Fright Walk for free as well. Therefore a great day was enhanced! So enjoy seeing all that, and a little more, as I experience Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with limited rides, but maximum fun!
