The European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service said the daily global average temperature reached 17.15 degrees Celsius on Monday. That broke the previous day’s record by 0.06 degrees. The outage affected computers using Microsoft’s Windows operating system. The incident caused major flight delays and cancellations. It also affected banking, health care, media and other businesses.
