Tajdar-e-Haram
============
Kalam: Hakim Mirza & Habeeb Baig Madani
Qawwals: Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri & Haji Maqbool Ahmed Sabri
Music: Maqbool Sabri
-----------------------------------
Tajdar-e-Haram by Sabri Brothers is regarded as one the greatest qawwalis of all time. The Sabri Brothers immortalized this qawwali with outstanding girahs(related verses from other kalams woven along with the main kalam) from Urdu, Farsi, Arabic and Brajbhasha topped over their soul-touching music and high-quality rendition.
They first performed this qawwali at the Data Darbar urs celebrations in late 1960s. The first record of Tajdar-e-Haram came up in 1970-71 and Radio Pakistan also recorded another version at around the same time (available here    • Sabri Brothers - (Very Rare) Tajdar e...  ). This qawwali was recited numerous times and many versions exist in recordings, the most prominent ones being the EMI record version of 1970, radio version of 1970s and the PTV video recording of 1986 (this one). I am uploading a clear video in 1080p resolution (HD) as the already existing ones on youtube are in low resolution. I have added the lyrics and translation both in English and Urdu (Urdu translation wherever required) for better understanding as nearly everyone is already acquainted with this video but without lyrics and translations in both languages. Hope my work of lyrics and translation will help atleast those who are interested in understanding this qawwali line by line, if not for better video quality.
I am also adding meanings of few words here to save time for others who are interested in reading about these lines further.
