Eric Davis was a power speed threat who was an outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds from 1984-1991. He had a very successful big league career, stealing nearly 350 bases and hitting 282 homers in 17 years for 6 different organizations. Injuries unfortunately plagued his career past his age 28 season, but in a 162 games stretch from 1986-1987, Eric Davis was at his peak. He had a historic stretch that saw him hit nearly 50 homers and steal nearly 100 bases, a feat that has never been accomplished in the history of baseball in the same calendar year. In today’s video, we are looking Eric Davis’ historic stretch from June 11th, 1986 to July 4th, 1987.
