15 comics that I refuse to review!

RUMINATIONS: I really should make a new version of this list.

At the time, I was completely serious about all those listed and to a degree I still am, with some obvious exceptions. One More Day eventually became the 200th episode, mostly because I realized there was a lot more to it than just the deal with Mephisto that pissed me off about it. Some people have pointed out some of the mistakes I made in it (which, again, were brought up in the 200th episode) including how for some reason my mental image of Mephisto include him as more traditionally devil-like, with horns and hooves and all that jazz. That being said, demon or the devil, it’s a semantics argument that’s irrelevant – he is evil and Spidey should never have made a deal with him.

The Sonic one was placed as number one pretty much for what I said here: I’m not familiar with the Sonic expanded universe, I don’t CARE about the Sonic expanded universe, and most attempts to get me to review bad Sonic comics require knowledge of the Sonic universe that I do not possess nor would I recognize right away. However, Sonic comics remain one of the most requested things I get on the show and a the time of this writing, I’ll finally be reviewing another one, though mostly because of its connection to Image comics characters, which I shockingly know more about by virtue of reviewing several issues featuring them. But yeah, I knew Sonic Live would be the 100th due to the sheer number of requests and the stupid things about it I could talk about without being familiar with the Sonic universe. And until recently, I kept to the idea that I wouldn’t be reviewing any other Sonic comics.

Marvel Zombies eventually got its day in video form over in Longbox of the Damned, to the point where (if the Patreon reaches that point) the many, many sequels to it will have their own special month devoted to them. Marvel vs. DC, however, I may still actually look over at some point. In the 200+ episodes since I made this video, I’ve done a lot more good comics and whatnot than I had ever originally planned to do, so having a few weeks devoted to something fun like Marvel vs. DC might actually be a blast.

Manga I broke for a special occasion – the storyline conclusion to the Entity arc. I also review more manga for Longbox of the Damned and the live shows, but those ones are fairly easy to do just by virtue of them being nothing more than a big riff at the material of franchises I’m familiar with. I still prefer to avoid doing anything more with them on the show itself. Political comics, though, are still right out. I get enough flack for my criticisms sometimes and I’d rather not try to add in much larger political ideas as it is.
