"Zeibekiko - Palios Karsilamas" consists of a medley of instrumental tunes with origin from the islands of Cyprus and Lesvos respectively. The full title for the first tune is "Sarhos" or "Bekris", where for the second is "Palios Karsilamas Mitilinis".

A musical collaboration of Michalis Kouloumis and Vassilis Philippou. The duet explores the multifaceted Cypriot identity through their unique spoken and musical language.

In parallel, the two musicians attempt to shed light on the correlation of the Cypriot music to other traditions found in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The duet highlights to an unusual but fascinating musical journey through the centuries enriched with melodies and songs, original compositions, poetry and narrative stories that reveal the cultural diversity of the island.

Το "Κυπριακό Ζεϊμπέκικο - Παλιός Καρσιλαμάς" αποτελεί μια ενότητα από δύο σκοπούς που προέρχονται από την Κύπρο και τη Λέσβο αντίστοιχα. Τα ακριβή ονόματα των οργανικών αυτών σκοπών είναι "Μπεκρής" ή "Σάρχος" και "Παλιός Καρσιλαμάς Μυτιλήνης".

Μια συνεργασία του Μιχάλη Κουλουμή με τον Βασίλη Φιλίππου στην οποία εξερευνούν τις ποικιλότροπες πτυχές της Κυπριακής ταυτότητας μέσω του λόγου και της μουσικής.

Παράλληλα, το ντουέτο επιχειρεί να αναδείξει τη συνάφεια της Κυπριακής μουσικής με άλλες παραδόσεις που συναντούνται στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο.

Ένα ασυνήθιστο μα και συναρπαστικό μουσικό ταξίδι διαμέσου των αιώνων εμπλουτισμένο με οργανικές μελωδίες και τραγούδια, πρωτότυπες συνθέσεις, ποίηση και αφήγηση ιστοριών μέσα από τις οποίες αναδεικνύεται ο πνευματικός πλούτος του νησιού.
