RV Window Crank Repair/Replacement

How to replace stripped or otherwise broken window operators in an RV. The "operator" is the gear mechanism that opens and closes the window. Also addressed is the confusion over right-hand and left-hand window operators - it's not as simple as it should be.

The operator shown in this video is a 1-3/4" model. This is the measurement between the upper and lower screw holes on the operator.
