Sleep Token - The Summoning - Drum Cover by Sean Brandenburg

Man, learning The Summoning was almost like chewing through some tough steak, to finally get to the very sweet dessert at the end, haha! No but seriously, what an amazing effort by Sleep Token. I love the fact that they are doing completely their own thing and basically ignoring all 'metal rules' by just infusing some 70's style breakdown at the end. And of course a wall of sound chorus and big atmosphere is always good in my book :)

I really enjoyed the process of learning this song! Very creative drum parts, very groovy and it also allowed me to show a side of my drumming I don’t post too often. I want to get into that groovy style a bit more in the future for sure! Anyways - I’m available for live & studio sessions, so get in contact and let’s make some music!

I am endorsed by ADAMS drums. My drumkit is an Adams 8000 DPresent Savage 22 Rock, Black Gloss. I mostly use Masterwork cymbals, Promark Shira Kashi Oak PW5BW sticks, Tama Speedcobra pedals and Evans drum heads. The snare drum used at the end is a PorkPie 13x7 Rosewood/Zebrawood, and was used just to get the sound right - I’ve owned this snare drum from before my Adams endorsement, but never really put it in a video!
