I think it's important to be able to record as many different brands / models / quality of drums and be able to discern one manufacturer's approach to achieving the sound of their drums, vs another. DrumCraft have long eluded me except owning a snare or two in the past, but I've never really had the chance to really check out and soundcheck their drum kits. So before selling this Series 6 Birch in Natural Finish, I took the chance to record it - pure punch and warmth. And being a 2013 build, I am sure the shells have also aged and warmed even more. Solid feeling and easy drums to tune and definitely easy to record. I'm impressed.
