Knockaderry Double Hook ups with gamefishingireland

I fished Knockaderry reservoir with John on a bitterly cold and wet late April Saturday. We started around 8.30am as I had to leave by 2.30pm. When we arrived at the lake the air temperature was only 4c and by lunchtime it was only 6c. It was great to see Maurice and Dave out fishing aswell and they seemed to be enjoying themselves apart from the miserable weather. I fished buzzers for the session and John tried nymphs and lures. We had 4 double hook ups which showed we found some feeding fish. My buzzer set up was a 10ft 5wt Mackenzie NX1 rod with matching floating line. My leader was quite long made of fluorocarbon with lightweight buzzers. There are times when these will out-fish the heavier epoxy buzzers and this is sometimes overlooked.
