Another project from Carole Rothman's book. This is a vase made with mahogany and cherry, both 3/4 inch. It is two basic bowls inverted with the scrap from the center of the blank used as the neck and flared mouth. This is my first concentric ring vase and I am somewhat happy with the outcome. I think these projects are up to the creator as to how much shaping and what shape you finish with. But I will happily accept it as my first attempt. The video should have been better, I had a lot of problems including a power outage, internet outage and phone problems throughout. But I managed to finish it.
