Whew, finally pulled through. Took us 83 failed attempts. First 68 we never made it past disinfection, after that it's a lot easier (4 post-disinfection attempts as we figured strats out). This is probably the sloppiest, worst run we've done lol, but evidently there's plenty of room for error.

We spent awhile contemplating and bouncing between loadouts. There's no other R5E1 duo video that follows my own ruleset so we didn't have a reference. In the end we felt sniper was the best, being able to just instakill giants/hybrids with high ammo efficiency makes it much easier. We would've tried scattergun but we wanted the range, both for hybrids and just for ease in the giant error section. We tried Hel Rifle but aside from being slower, it made ammo a lot tighter in the hybrid error, whereas with sniper we had a lot more room for error even if I was missing shots and we were waking up scouts or missing ammopacks.

I was running Hel Shotgun but swapped to PDW figuring it'd help for the shadows, especially just sniping shadow scouts. But tbh I ended up liking it a lot in general, the thermal is so useful in the darkness. Idiotnet was running Hel Shotgun but also didn't need the waveclear, so he ran Sawed-Off to be able to pitch in more with giants/charger giants as needed.

We did burst sentry for surges (and a little bit for charger error), cfoam for permafoaming charger alarm and delaying surges. We weren't worried about stacking waves, since the mission often spawns mines, especially in the charger key hunt zone. Prob shouldnt have foamed the door before disinfection tho since no mine spawned for that.

I took x2 disinfect before hybrid error, so I could hold 1-use medpack on my healthbar without slowly losing it. Then idiotnet held medpacks in hands, to use during tight moments.

oh lol, 47:09 scout wakeup. in my defense the tentacle was pitch black and i thought i'd be safe behind that wall. idiotnet's mic cuts out too so we don't coordinate where to run to, we're just both acting individually.

We cant find the key during the charger error, burn through ammo for 5.5 min until it's finally all the way in the back in a secret box. Then a mega blunder, I completely forgot to use tool refill in the hub and dont have enough tool to permafoam. All these blunders add up, eating away the ammo. When i finally shut the error off, idiotnet only has ammo for like 1-2 more waves. It carries into the start of the giant error, too.

We wanted to permafoam final surge during 3rd scan. idea was idiotnet runs forward with cfoam grenade to keep the door foamed, while I stand in the scan spot and throw blobs trying to get the angle just right. in the end i dont think i manage to hit the door. But the foam actually just lasts long enough that I end up being able to foam it during the run to the final scan, so it works out swimmingly. i was quite concerned about that final surge, with giants mixed into it, thats part of why i wanted sniper's range (to kill giants that we cant get close to, if they were mixed into a surge). not relevant in the end tho.

we're careful not to let the giant error spawn inside the cell zone, since it's filled with giant chargers. thats hard tho, bc its actually 3 rooms deep (theres a room divider). in this case, cell spawned in the deepest room (2 rooms away from where i was defending), so idiotnet stayed 1 room away to spawnblock, then, after a wave spawned, he went in, grabbed cell, and came back out to spawnblock again before the next wave spawned. there's some rng since the wave can spawn inside before you even get to ping cell, or cell can spawn in the left room in which case you kinda just gotta hope they dont spawn inside.
