The Walk - EP 115 - Railways Of The Wye Valley - Redbrook To Tintern - England & Wales

Another day, another disused railway explore.

Phil and myself are in Gloucestershire to explore a section of the Wye Valley Railway, just across the Welsh border from our last stomp in Monmouth.

We start off at the site of Redbrook station (Which I call Drybrook at one point for absolutely no reason), before heading across a former railway bridge that spans the River Wye, and into Wales.

Before carrying on down the trackbed towards Tintern we take a short detour into Redbrook to take a look at an incline bridge of an 1812 tramway, that preceded the railway by many years.

Then we head down to Tintern where we explore the incredibly restored Tintern station, before climbing into Tintern tunnel, and taking a look.

We end the walk by following another tramway that crossed back over the River Wye into the village of Tintern itself.

Beautiful scenery and plenty of incredible remains to be found on this one.
