This is my new, 10 minute loop of the original and current version of the it's a small world Swiss Yodeler and Bells audio at Disneyland. This audio was first used at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, then Disneyland from 1966 until 1993, and restored and remastered along with much of this classic soundtrack since 2003. This audio has also been used at three other Disney theme parks since 2005, beginning with Magic Kingdom, followed by Hong Kong (2008) and Tokyo Disneyland (2018). Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland have always used these Swiss Yodeler vocals since their openings in 1971 and 83 respectively, however they also used different Bells instrumentals until they switched to this version decades later. In 1993 they removed the original soundtrack entirely and installed the 1992 John Debney Disneyland Paris soundtrack. Until its 2015 refurbishment, the Paris version always had nicely composed Swiss Bells instrumentals, but unfortunately no Yodeler vocals with it. They actually added a new Yodeler of their own since 2015, but the 1993-2002 CA version never featured a Swiss Yodeler. It did use the six verse format used in that soundtrack, however. Thankfully in 2003 they brought back this classic audio, which is played to this day. However, it seems the Bells instrumentals have been at a slightly lower volume in the post-2002 remaster. Also, it seems this audio has been at a slightly lower volume than usual within the last few years, which I personally hope can be fixed at some point. Besides two 1964-65 NY World's Fair pictures at the beginning, the rest are all from Disneyland, CA. This video includes many rotating pictures that show the Switzerland scene at Disneyland, both before 1993 and after 2003. Here, I have several pictures and screenshots that I've found before the 2008 refurbishment of this scene (c.1970, 71, 76, 81, 87, 90, 2007). After the 2008 refurb, I have an image one of my parents took during an April 2009 visit, while all of the other ones I took last May and September in 2022. There are no pictures between the mid 1990's-mid 2000's because this soundtrack and audio was not used during that time. This scene has seen some changes since 1966, but not as much as many other regions. Disneyland has always had a big, green set with snow capped mountains and flowers in the foreground, with the Yodeler in the center, four bell ringers around him, a couple goats below them (Near the flume), and many more snow capped mountains behind the main sets. One of if not the only visual change to the Disneyland Switzerland scene was the goats being repainted from white to orange in the 1980's (Year currently unknown). As always, the great artistry and music make a memorable scene. This particular mix of the 1964/current Switzerland audio was made by Rickydoodlebug. His work is greatly appreciated.
