Wet Felt Hat straight from the Fleece with no preparation

Making a wet felt hat from alpaca fibre that has not been prepared in any way. For anyone who wants to try making a hat (or any other felt project) but hasn't access to a carder or carded fibre, I wanted to see how practical it is to work straight from the fleece as it came off the animal. The resulting felt was good - it will be even better if you take the time to pick out any vegetable matter, although a bit of VM is part of the character of a hand made item. I would also recommend separating the fibre into 3 or 4 even piles, and then laying these out evenly one over the other to get the best result.
