একদিনে পদ্মাপাড়ে ফরিদপুর জেলার সকল দর্শনীয় স্থান ভ্রমন || Faridpur District || One Day Tour

মাই ট্যুর বিডি-এর উদ্যোগে বাংলাদেশের ৬৪ জেলা ভ্রমণ পরিক্রমা নিয়ে একটি ভিন্ন মাত্রার ভ্রমণ আয়োজন 'MY TOUR BD MISSION-64'। এই আয়োজনের অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য বাংলাদেশের আনাচে-কানাচে ঘুরে বেড়ানোর সকল দর্শনীয় স্থান এবং প্রত্নতত্ত্ব বিশ্বের সামনে তুলে ধরা।

পদ্মা নদীর অপর পাশে অবস্থিত ফরিদপুর জেলা রাজধানী ঢাকা থেকে ১১৫ কিলোমিটার দূরত্বে অবস্থিত। যেহেতু পদ্মা সেতুতে এখনো যান চলাচল শুরু হয় নি তাই ফেরীর মাধ্যমে পার হতে হয় পদ্মা নদী। বর্তমানে সাধারণত চার থেকে সাড়ে চার ঘন্টায় ঢাকা থেকে পৌঁছানো যায় ফরিদপুর। ফরিদপুর জেলার প্রতিষ্ঠা ১৭৮৬ সালে। মতান্তরে এ-জেলা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় ১৮১৫ সালে। ফরিদপুরের নামকরণ করা হয়েছে এখানকার প্রখ্যাত সুফি সাধক শাহ শেখ ফরিদুদ্দিনের নামানুসারে। এ জেলার পূর্বনাম ছিল ‘‘ফতেহাবাদ’’। ফরিদপুর জেলার প্রতিষ্ঠা সন ১৭৮৬ হলেও তখন এটির নাম ছিল জালালপুর এবং প্রধান কার্যালয় ছিল ঢাকা। ১৮০৭ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে ঢাকা জালালপুর হতে বিভক্ত হয়ে এটি ফরিদপুর জেলা নামে অভিহিত হয়। এই জেলায় রয়েছে নানা প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক স্থাপনা ও প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্য।
