I picked alukon flowers and cooked DINENGDENG, a Filipino vegetable soup | Gayyem Ben

It's again the season where the alokon tree blooms its flowers. We people in the northern part of the Philippines utilize the flowers and young leaves on some dishes. I grew up eating this vegetable. My mother cooks dinengdeng using this ingredient. There are many kinds of dinengdeng but alokon dinengdeng is one of my favorites.
