Warm Welcome To Baghdad Iraq 🇮🇶

We just landed in Baghdad, Iraq and what a warm welcome we received!

From Baghdad airport the only way into the city is to pay the extortionate 40-50k IQD taxi price however we met a lovely Iraqi lad who gave us a lift for free out of the airport then ordered us a taxi for only 10k!

We checked in and did a little 40k IQD room tour, this place wasn't the best so a couple days later we moved into the center of the city for 45k IQD a night.

Still absolutely knackered after having no sleep the night before we headed out for our first taste of Iraqi food. We ate at a random kebab shop on the side of the street and it was alright.

Very much looking forward to this Iraq trip 🇮🇶
