Does PS5 Add Input Lag to PS4 Games? (Backwards Compatibility). Surprisingly, I have not seen a video or complete breakdown of this question yet, but I think it's very important information (a make or break question for the console actually). As awesome as it is that the PS5 has such strong backwards compatibility for the insanely deep (and GOAT) PS4 library, how well does that fleet of games perform on PS5. If you watch Digital Foundry and all those types of channels, I'm sure they'll cover the load times and frame rates, which are important. But I think even more important is the simple question of input lag, which is not tied to better processors and higher resolutions. In fact, until recently, we've seen a gradual increase in the amount of input lag on console games (remember Tekken 7 had 8 frames of lag on launch). Thankfully that trend is finally starting to reverse and so now the question is if the PS5 is able to maintain the PS4 levels of input lag and outright replace the console, or if it has a secret Achilles heel that no one is discussing?
