Trains At Lincoln Central - 05/12/2015

Filmed on 05/12/2015. Season 2 Episode 44: Arriving at Lincolnshire's capital, Lincoln Central.

At this station, we see a variety of East Midlands Trains, Northern Rail pacers and freight as well. It was an unusual day with 222 super voyagers operating between Nottingham, Sheffield to Lincoln Central which has to be a rare but unusual sighting. We see HST 125's operating between Sheffield and Lincoln Central with one set heading to Newark Northgate only, which is normally operated by class 153/156 sprinter units.

Another odd sighting is Northern Rail pacers 142/144 were working as a 4 coach services from Scunthorpe and Sheffield. Most of the pacers were heading for Adwick with some heading for Sheffield.

We had two special steam tours: 46233 Duchess Of Sutherland with 47854 from London Kings Cross to terminate at Lincoln Central. We see the train moving to clear the points before 47 unit takes the train to the sidings.

5043 Earl Of Edgcumbe operated from Tyseley Steam Trust also terminate at Lincoln Central. We see the train taking the coaches to the sidings before the train went back through Lincoln Central station to turn around and then returning back to the sidings.
