Exploring Berchtesgaden Germany, The Picturesque Town In The Bavarian Alps

Join me in exploring Berchtesgaden Germany where we go in search of the Kirchleitn Kapelle in the Bavarian Alps. Berchtesgaden Germany was once home to the notorious Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and high up in Bavarian Alps above Berchtesgaden on the Kehlstein mountain lies the Eagles Nest aka Kehlsteinhaus. On this Berchtesgaden walking tour we encounter a Franciscan Monastery near the old Berchtesgaden cemetery and Berchtesgaden Castle on Berchtesgaden schlossplatz along with many viewpoints offering fabulous views over Berchtesgaden. We will then see why the Kirchleitn Kapelle is one of the most photographed places in Bavaria, Germany as it sits on a hill overlooking Berchtesgaden with the Watzmann mountain, in the Bavarian Alps, as a back drop. First of all though we obtain fabulous views over the distinctive coloured water of the Berchtesgadener Ache from a wooden bridge spanning over it. Sit back, relax and enjoy the underfoot crunching noises as we take the tour of Berchtesgaden Germany at sunset.
