In this video, we finally get to taste the hard seltzer John discussed a few weeks back.

Not sure what to expect with making seltzer at home we were both pleasantly surprised at how well this came out. The overall profile showed no yeast/fermentation profile what so ever. It was very very clean tasting.

The alcohol was well restrained and it gave a perception of sweetness to the flavoring extracts added. The Cherry and Lime extracts provided by Olive Nation really came through in great way. There was nothing artificial tasting about these extracts. Cherry was the dominant flavor but that just means a little more titrating is needed with the lime to get them both to pop. And that's the bonus with kegging the product. You can always open it up and add a little more of one or the other.

John made the base as a 3 gallon batch. We only carbonated and flavored one gallon therefore we could make more of the same or try an entirely new flavor combo with the already made batch!

This seems like an easy way to put something totally different in your beverage offerings at home. Especially nice for guests that aren't really into beer.
CHEERS!
