This is the most beautiful place we saw in Armenia!

After a few days of resting in the village, we ventured out on our own to the Tatev monastery. Beginning as a worship site for pagans, this 9th-century monastery has incredible views, ruins to explore, and the most interesting magical column in existence. The monastery is not the only reason we traveled all this way into southern Armenia. The longest reversible cable car in the world starts right outside the monastery. For 12 minutes you fly 6 km over the mountains with unimpeded views.
