We're in Tennessee and knew we had clay soil, but I've planted plenty of things this year without much issue. However, this is the largest plant I've planted and the deepest I've had to dig and I was NOT prepared for this journey. Luckily, we had a digging pole hiding in the garage and the day (+ my sanity) was saved.
