Basketball Drill: 5 on 5 Score, Stop, Score

A full court 5 on 5 game to work on half court offense, transition offense, and defense.

The game is played three possessions. One team starts in the half court in a set or action to create an advantage to score. The goal is for the team that starts with the ball to get a score, stop, and score.

If the offensive team does get the score, stop, score, they get to start with the ball again. The incentive is to be perfect for the three trips to get to start with the ball again.

Teams can only score on offense, by 1’s and 2’s. In this video the black team did not complete three perfect possessions therefore red started with it in the half court. They did complete the trips with a score, stop, and a score, and got the ball back to start again.

Play to a certain score, a certain number of possessions, or during a timed segment.
