Sombre this path (2023) for soprano solo, based on text by Zef Zorba, is dedicated to
the contemporary singer Rona Israel-Kolatt. The piece is ametric, very contemporary
both in the way it’s written and the way it develops. The use of extended techniques is
very clear, such as the simultaneous singing and playing in triangle, the gradual
singing of vowels, whispering, conversing, glissando, singing with whispers. “Light
the path of all the hostages”
