La Vie En Rose - Grace Jones - Bass Cover - Request

Описание к видео La Vie En Rose - Grace Jones - Bass Cover - Request

Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I've done of the Grace Jones version of the Edith Piaf song "La Vie En Rose" from her 1977 album "Portfolio". The bass player on this track was Wilbur Bascomb.

You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Intermediate Lesson Plan.

This takes me back to the days when I was doing "dance sets". Bossa's, Samba's, Cha Cha's, Tango, Salsa, Waltz's, Swing...ballroom dancing basically. It was fun :) It taught me some different styles and how to play to the song. The bass is just a part of a bigger sound and purpose, and sometimes that sound and purpose is to get people to dance. The challenge with that stuff was to be free and creative without over playing and getting in the way.

This song has a nice easy going Samba feel to it, watch some of the articulations and rhythms and keep it light and groovy :)

I hope you like it . Don't forget to "like" and "subscribe" and thanks for watching.
