Diana Ross performed at the iconic Radio City Music Hall on September 13, 2022 and sang to a sold-out house. She was in fine voice and energy. It was another night that her fans, or anyone who was in attendance, won't be forgetting any time soon. One of the many highlights in the nearly two-hour show, was while in the midst of singing songs from her album, THANK YOU, Diana Ross brought out her daughter, Rhonda Ross to sing a song that they had co-written together, "Count On Me." They had sung this song together just a couple of times before, but for this special occasion, Tracee Ellis Ross joined them on stage and the entire theater erupted in joy. There were laughter, there were tears but, above all, there was love in abundance. Seeing them on stage together, one would think they haven't seen each other in ages, but the fact is they are a close-knit family. As many times as I've seen Diana Ross perform (which is way too many), her children have been in the audience three or four times more. Like those attending, her children (and grandchildren) are fans of their mother's music! Imagine that! It's always a joy and amazing, to see, them focused on the music, and dancing (sometimes wildly) to the many upbeat songs Diana Ross sings during the length of her concert. From "Upside Down" to "Ease On Down The Road," her kids are up on their feet jumping and screaming like the thousands of fans among them.

Rhonda Ross opened the show for her mom and her jazz leanings can be a little jarring for those who came to hear the many pop and soul hits of Diana Ross, but to me, who has seen Rhonda perform on several other occasions, it's a beautiful moment. Her take on Stevie Nick's "Landside" is almost as gorgeous as the original. Her talent extends to writing, which "Count On Me" is one of two songs she provided to her mom's album, the other being "All Is Well." Both beautiful ballads that are sung impeccably by Diana Ross on her album. The privilege of singing it together has been the highlight of Ms Ross current concert schedule, but with the addition of Tracee Ellis Ross, who is, even after starring in the film, "The High Note," still a little intimidated to sing on stage, was incredible and surreal. In an interview, Tracee admits it's hard to imagine that she gets to go on stage and sing with a legend! Even her daughter, a successful actress in her own right, is blinded by the light of her mom!

Watching this video is a lovefest and it's a memory that will forever be with me.
