Ek Nayee Zindagi - 13th June 2023

Have you ever felt like you don't quite fit in, like an odd puzzle piece that doesn't quite match the others? That hurts, doesn’t it? Sometimes we do the same to others. It's easy to unknowingly make others feel excluded, whether through our choice of language, our body language, or the assumptions we make about them. Whether it's in the family, workplace, school, or church, we can often overlook the ways we make people feel insignificant, or unimportant.

At CBN India, this June, we are placing a spotlight on practical ways to include everyone in our surroundings including on social media. We'll discuss how we frequently exclude people, even unintentionally. We'll learn more respectful alternatives to commonly used ableist words and phrases and the crucial difference between true inclusion, tokenism, and pity.

In Mark 12:30-31, we find the greatest commandment: to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. This is the foundation for understanding inclusion the way God intended. We can foster a sense of community by making people feel like they belong, regardless of how blatant their differences may seem!

From individuals who have overcome adversity to communities that have embraced diversity, watch stories that will prove the fruit of inclusion is belonging!
