So from what I can gather from the opening cutscenes (one of which I skip), Wonder Dog is an alien dog who comes to Earth for whatever reason and a human boy wants to adopt him, but his father refuses. Wonder Dog misses the boy and gets back to his spaceship and suits up ready to go after him.

Anyway, after all that is done, there's a decent platformer beneath that isn't the freshest game you'll ever play, but it's likeable enough. My only major problem is that the controls are a little loose and Wonder Dog himself is a bit too big, but I like this game.
