This is the Inficon Whisper Ultra sonic leak detector.

In this video I'll demonstrate what you can expect when using the whisper ultra sonic leak detector as we go over a few small leaks in an evaporator coil.

Traditional electronic leak detectors either use a heated diode to detect halogenated gasses, or a solid state sensor used to detect changes in conductivity.

Both styles can be very finicky, and proper care and maintenance is needed to ensure good results.

Ultra sonic leak detectors pick up the sounds waves emitted when a gas is passed through a tiny passage. In this video I show you how the Inficon Whisper ultra sonic leak detector performs, as well as what you can expect to hear.
