Fox Suspension Upgrade On My Marin Rift Zone 2

While the Rockshox Recon and Rockshox Deluxe Select that came stock on my Marin Rift Zone 2 were decent, I wanted a little more performance.

I picked up a Fox Float DPS rear shock that not only fits my bike properly, it also has the exact same custom tune specs as the DPS that comes on the Marin Rift Zone 2. This shock will give me two advantages over the original equipment. One, it has compression adjustments. Two, its not scratched on the shock body and therefore doesn't need an expensive service (yes I crashed and scratched the stock one).

For the front, I got a nice deal on a Fox 34 Rhythm. Although the Rhythm series uses heavier aluminum than the Fox Performance, it still saved me a ton of weight over the Recon. Additionally, it can be tuned with volume spacers, something that is lacking on the Recon.

So lets see how these new parts effect the ride and if it was worth it
