Gibson L48 Restoration, Part 3: Reattaching the Back

Описание к видео Gibson L48 Restoration, Part 3: Reattaching the Back

In this segment, all of the internal repairs have been completed and the back is reattached to the sides. We use a rigid guitar frame outside of the L48 body and drive a series of wooden wedges between that frame and the sides of the guitar, carefully checking every inch or two with a test strip of binding to make sure the sides are exactly where they need to be before clamping. The goal is to be able to reuse the original back binding without any gaps or proud spots in order to minimize scraping bindings or filling gaps.
