Session Description:

Learn how to use micro:bit classroom to manage the whole class online. Distribute code to your class, save and resume students' work, all virtually. We will show examples of projects that you can run online, using the micro:bit simulator. We will focus on examples based on the mathematics curriculum.Andrew is a physics, chemistry, mathematics teacher with a side passion for computer science, and robotics.

Presenter Biography:

Raised in Halifax attending various school around Halifax, he is a proud bluenoser and enjoys any chance to return back to his stomping grounds. Educated in Ottawa with his M.Sc in medical physics and worked in a cancer clinic before changing career paths to become a teacher. He has a passion to teach and wanting to get people interested in how things work. As an educator, he enjoys fostering a maker mindset for teachers and students alike. As an Apple Teacher, Google Certified Educator, Makey Makey Ambassador and Raspberry Certified Educator, he is always looking to help others explore various technologies and ways to ingrate them into their classroom.
