DIY JELLO COOKIES - Heart Shaped for Valentine's Day - How To | SoCraftastic

In this DIY, learn how to make colorful Jello Cookies! For these cookies I add Jell-O gelatin powder to my favorite puffy cookie recipe. (Almost the same one I used for my hedgehog cookies!) ♥ I N G R E D I E N T S :
1 bag Sugar Cookie Mix
A Pinch of Salt
2 eggs
1 stick of Butter (softened)
1 cup Cake Flour
A dash of Vanilla Extract (optional)

MIX ALL INGREDIENTS.

Then add :
1/2 cup flavored gelatin powder (Jell-O)

***IF YOU SPLIT YOUR DOUGH IN HALF, USE 1/4 CUP JELL-O**

Use food coloring for an extra pop of color.

Roll your dough into small balls & refrigerate for about 10 minutes.

Flatten each ball & use a cookie cutter. Don't make them too thick - about 1/4 " is good. Use sugar to keep the dough from sticking to your surface.

Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F on the top rack.
(*Note* I'm using an electric oven & it takes longer to bake than gas ovens I've used in the past… adjust your time & temperature accordingly.)
