oh boy ! my second animatic in (checks notes) nearly two years !

I started this literally the Day after 2/2 LMAO this animatic took SO long only because like, a shitzillion things happened inbetween. I took part in a school play that absorbed several evenings, did my finals, moved HOUSE, and if it weren't for me being on the hashtag grind the past week I would've gone to an entirely different country too.

considering how the song is based on An Urgent Appeal by Dazai Osamu AND the mv is literally just "what if Jesus and the disciples were girls" AND it is entirely from Judas' perspective, you'd THINK that it'd be an AKECHI animatic. but ohoho. it's not so shrimple

this is basically a palace Akiren au taking place during the end of the 3rd semester. you know how the Phantom Thieves accidentally made Maruki God by placing their trust in him? It's like that ! and also a mix of my Madoka Magica brainrot ! in summary I made him kin (REBELLION SPOILERS) because I thought it would fit. shoutout to Maruki for giving the boy Azazoth and five new mental illnesses. this is the opposite of what therapy's meant to do

0:10 attrition definition: the wearing down/gradual reduction of something. sanding something down, essentially
0:13 there are obviously differences between Shido and Maruki but their similarities lies in how Akechi was affected. under both of them Akechi has to essentially die, conforming to them whilst having little control over his own life. Akechi takes revenge against Shido in order to feel control, whilst Akechi fights Maruki to save everyone's autonomy
