The Honeywell Slim Design Ceramic Heater Series safety features, featuring the HCE317.

For safety, place the heater on a firm, level, open surface, free from obstructions and at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from any wall. DO NOT use on an unstable surface such as bedding or deep carpeting. 

Plug in your heater and make sure the plug has a snug fit to the outlet, avoiding any loose connections.

When you turn on the heater, the Power Indicator will illuminate, and the heater will start in the Constant On HI Level Setting.

The heater has two operational modes – continuous heating or heating with a thermostat setting, where the heater cycles on and off according to the selected temperature setting.

To set a Continuous Heat Setting, press the button with two waves on it. Choose low (one dot) or High (two dots). In the continuous heat mode, make sure to manually turn the heater OFF when done using this appliance.

To set the Thermostat, press the Thermostat Control Buttons and choose your Desired Temperature.

If the Current Temperature in the room is higher than your selected Temperature, the heater will be off until the room temperature falls below this setting or until the Selected Temperature is changed.

How to set the timer
Press the Timer Button to select 1, 2, 4, or an 8-hour setting. The heater will automatically shut off after the selected time has passed.

How To Set the Heater to Oscillate
Press the Oscillate Button to turn on or off the oscillation function.

How to Turn Off your Heater
To shut the heater off, press the Power Button The heater will shut off after 6 seconds.

Safety Features
Your Honeywell Digital Heater is equipped with several devices and features for added protection.

For your safety, a 360° tip-over switch disables the heater if it is tipped in any direction. It was built using a high temperature plastic and has a cool to touch housing and handle. This heater has 2 forms of overheat protection, with an overheat sensor and a back-up cut off fuse.
