The collaboration between Nexter, Thales, and Renault Trucks has led to the development of the Jaguar EBRC, a state-of-the-art wheeled armored fighting vehicle. Complementing this vehicle is the Griffon VBMR ("Véhicule Blindé Multi-Rôles"), which boasts up to 70% commonality in parts with the Jaguar. The Griffon is designed as a 6x6 wheeled multi-role vehicle intended to fulfill a variety of operational requirements for the French Army. With its introduction scheduled for 2018, the Griffon has also gained recognition from the Belgian Army, which aims to replace its aging fleet of Cold War-era wheeled fighting vehicles with this modern solution.
