PADA MANOR. GLORY AND DESTRUCTION.

The earliest reports of Pada manor date back to 1505. At the end of the 18th century, the manor belonged to Otto von Stackelberg, the Russian ambassador to Poland, who had one of the most luxurious main buildings in Estonia built in the manor.

Completed in 1782, the magnificent two-story early classicist main building was built by the French architect J.B.M. from St. Petersburg. According to the design of Vallin de la Mothe.

The last owner of Pada manor before the transfer in 1919 was Alfred von Schilling. The manor's main building was burned down by revolutionary soldiers in 1917, and it has been in ruins ever since.

Pada Manor is located in Estonia, in East Virumaa.

PADA MÕIS. HIILGUS JA HÄVING.

Varaseimad teated Pada mõisast pärinevad 1505. aastast. 18. sajandi lõpul kuulus mõis Vene saadikule Poolas Otto von Stackelbergile, kes lasi mõisa püstitada Eesti tolle aja ühe luksuslikuma peahoone.

1782. aastal valminud suurejooneline kahekorruseline varaklassitsistlik peahoone püstitati Peterburist pärit prantsuse arhitekti J.B.M. Vallin de la Mothe'i projekti järgi.

Pada mõisa viimane 1919. aasta võõrandamise eelne omanik oli Alfred von Schilling. Mõisa peahoone põletasid 1917. aastal maha revolutsioonimeelsed sõdurid ning sellest ajast alates on ta varemeis.

Pada mõis asub Ida- Virumaal. NB. Mõis asub eramaal.
