I’ve put together this bird feeder camera setup to give you some ideas for your own setup. You don't have to use this exact setup. Any trail camera will work, however the Toguard H85 is a great bird feeder camera to use as it has bluetooth connectivity.

The DIY method of attaching the lens filter kit using sticky putty works very well at altering the focal distance of the trail cameras lens to give sharp pictures close up.

You can use any type of black tac or sticky putty as this doesn't leave any permanent residue on the camera body and holds the lens in place with ease.

I used the x4 lens in these clips at around 12 inches from the bird feeder. A 37mm or 40mm lens diameter works well as its “academic” in this setup as long as the lens is fairly central to the trail cameras built in lens.

The magic arm clamp is very useful and will attach to any upright or even a bird table.

It’s all about having fun and I hope gives you an idea of what you can achieve in your own garden or backyard.
