First Morning Peak Trains at East Pakenham Station

In this video we visit and check out the newly built East Pakenham Station just 2kms down from Pakenham station and 59kms from Melbourne's CBD.

With the removal of 3 level crossings in the Pakenham area that being McGregor Rd, Main St & Racecourse Rd by the Level Crossing Removal Authority Pakenham station became a skyrail while East Pakenham became the new terminus station for the line, the Pakenham line was originally 57kms long making it the longest on the metropolitan network and with the addition of E Pakenham extending the electrification by 2 kms making it 59kms.

We see only a couple of High Capacity Metro Trains operated by Metro Trains Melbourne running to or from Flinders Street or to and from the Pakenham East depo, During this day V/line services & Maryvale Paper train were not running due to works on the Gippsland line.
