SINGLE vs DOUBLE Sided HEDGE TRIMMER, Which is Better?

Comparing a single sided hedge trimmer to a double sided hedge trimmer on a low height hedge. Both these machines have roughly the same size blades, so it is a close comparison.
Which hedge trimmer you choose to use will depend on various factors, what type of hedge or shrub you are trimming and what you prefer to use.
Ultimately both good bits of kit and we wouldn't be without either.
We tend to use double bladed hedge trimmers more for large shrub pruning when you need to get a round shape to them. We use the single sider more for the straight flat hedges as it is more efficient and comfortable to use for extended periods.
